Payndar's US Presidential Endorsement

Post by Payndar Circusdorf »

After a year of close analysis, I have decided how to cast my vote for the US presidential election.

On the one hand, there is the guy who has changed his position several times on issues he said were deeply important. He has waffled on how much the government should tax and spend, has waffled on the role of religion in government, has waffled on human rights. He has changed his mind on how the US should project its power on to other nations.

On the other hand, there is the guy who promises to stay the course in Iraq, but has little record to show he can competently manage a war for more than 5 minutes. He promises to expand the economy through trade, but has advocated protectionist measures that damage exports. He promises to limit government expenditures, even though his record shows him to be a massive spender with no visible restraint.

If you can tell which paragraph refers to which candidate, switch your guess and re-read.

These fuckers are equally terrible.

I abstain, and will vote for Congress.

I try to give the candidates a chance to convince me after the conventions. They certainly did.

I'd rather give Kerry four years to try to undo Bush's damage and then hope the Repulicans can give us a good candidate in '08. I had an even harder time deciding who to vote for for Senate in SC. Raving Idoit vs. Biggot who blew a twenty something % lead in the polls. What an amazing choice! My finger burned when it touched the DeMint button, luckily my wife canceled out my vote... now I can sleep at night.

I was all ready to go do a surpise vote to cancel out all my fiancees votes besides the marrage amendment in kentucky. All my fiancees values are liberal, almost VERY liberal, but she voted straight republican. Then i find out today that the last day to register in Kentucky was the 4th of October. DOH. Oh well Republicans sweeped Kentucky anyway just like everyone knew they would. I could still care less.
