Well, it looks like they have found their new James Bond actor. I'm not sure if I agree with this one though. The blue eyes just don't suit the generally dark appearance.

Thanks Payn. I assume you saw the trailer back in October, but I sure didn't so it was a suprise to see how he looked as James Bond. If you are meaning the announcement, then yes I knew about that quite a while ago, but had not seen him in action for a good judgement.

Yeah the trailer for Casino Royale has me stoked. I hope this means Bond will be more like he is in the books. Connery is obviously the best person to play the Bond of the movies, but Dalton hands down played the best Bond from the books. Hopefully Craig will be more Dalton and a lot less Connery.

Apparently somebody hasn't seen Never Say Never Again. Connery was about, uh 15 years too old in that movie. Hell, he was too old in Diamonds are Forever but money talks.

He's definately too old to play the role, I was speaking more of which actors portrayed the character and which actor "was" the character. No one has ever played Bond like Connery could!! Some came close, I'll admit, but I'll watch the Connery movies over and over, while Roger Moore and company bore me quickly. (Wow that sounded wrong!!)

If you mean Connery's Bond is the definitive Movie Bond, I'll agree 100% and so will any right-thinking person.

What I meant was that the Bond of the original novels (who is a very different character) was best portrayed by Dalton, and I hope Craig's character is more like the Bond of the books than the Bond of the movies (Connery). They are portraying Casino Royale as a relaunch of the series, and I hope that means Bond is a different person than he has been for the last 21(?) movies.

I was raised on the Bond movies growing up. Hell my dad was a fanatic, and i have and always will think that Connery is the best Bond.

He was the first to play the role, so of course every bond after has been compared to him. I was very against who they had gotten to do this one, but after seeing that trailer i have to say that he may have been the bond this series has been needing.

Going from best to worst i would say
1. Connery
2. Dalton
3. Brosnan
4. Moore
5. and that horrid person they got for On her majesty's... (such a horrible actor)


He seems to act like Connery did it only more modernized... he looks to be the cold blooded, womanizing asshole he was in the books (yes i read them x.x) I really am excited over this... now to talk Dalch to go see it with me >.>

p.s. my god i sound like a heterosexual guy... i need some fabulousness... um.... oh yeah, i would fuck Pierce Brosnan so many ways he would never go back to woman... yes... BOND COCK FTW!

I thought OHMSS was a very good movie, but needed someone else to be Bond. And don't you ever cuss any movie with Diana Rigg. Yeeow.
