Why do you keep making stupid generalizations? I didn't choose a PvP server to gank low levels (excluding Night Elf Rogues), I chose a PvP server because I like exhilarating PvP. I played UO, SWG and DAoC for PvP, and why should it be any different here. I didnt play those games to corpse camp low level players, and I don't do that here either.

It adds more challenge and spice to the game, like playing Hardcore mode on Diablo2. There's no reason to go around namecalling anyone on a PvP server, especially if you know nothing about that player.

I make generalizations based on the fact that 99% of the people we've encountered from Mannoroth have proven beyond a doubt that they are terrible human beings, and have only malicious intent. If I've mistaken you for one of the miserable pricks that flooded not only our forums, but our servers, then I apologize.

As for spice and challenge, this is where we can agree to disagree. I've leveled on a pvp server before, albeat long ago. What I discovered was a server where leveling alone meant certain death by people not only 10-15 levels higher than you, but following by constant greifing until the afforementioned became bored and gave up. I personally view WoW as a PVE game first, with a side of PVP for relaxiation and fun. For me, its about beating dragons, giants, demons, etc. For you, it may be about waging war on the opposite faction. You pay your 15, I pay mine, and we both do what we deem fun.

Now, because a few ignorant forum trolls from each side took it upon themselves to flame, I have to assume anyone coming here is looking for that same fight. Hence my brief attempts at sarcastic humor on my first 2 posts. Not so much a personal attack as a form response for what I at first took to be one of the nameless masses from Mannoroth come here to start trouble and light a few fires.

Well I only came here when I saw the post on the Mannoroth forums, then the image calling my server a loser (and also insinuating countless of us are flooding Medivh) and then read into this post some and saw even more namecalling. It's just a single dumb event, there's no reason that it should cause so much pointless arguing between the two servers to the point where we act like assholes to eachother. Everyone has server firsts, this is just the only one Blizzard has gone and advertised. No reason to get uppity.

Alright, a bit of a calcuated explanation. You're nicer than the others, so I'll explain. =p

Viral messaging is always more effective when targeted at a specific group, even if it's intended for a broader target. It so happened that Mannoroth was runner-up for resources, and also a lot of the Alt Invaders claimed to be coming from there. This is why I chose your server among all others even though the Alt Invaders came from pretty much everywhere.

The intent was to answer a large flood of people with an equally large message. Considering the way it got cross-posted, it seems to have worked well.

Anyway, on a lighter note. It's true the competition on PvE isn't the same as on PvP... However, while it's true Medivh had quite a lead on other PvE servers, you guys had a major lead on all other PvP servers. So hats off, you're at the top of your game, and we're at the top of ours. =)

Runecloth stayed at 2.5g a stack thru the whole AQ war effort. I know this cause I bought roughly 1000 stacks. Even the Rangrangs helped the war effort.
