I think he was trying to say that the existence of an email posted by a friend of his validates the supposition that at least a portion of the correspondence portrayed by Strongbad is genuine.

However Maz also contends that said anecdotal evidence is insifficient to prove a trend and therefore while one can conclude that some emails are genuine, it is possible that not all are.

There should be a comma after "however", it is spelled "insufficient", and don't end your sentences in a preposition.
