So in the future if you go bankrupt would they count online goods as assets and force you to Ebay your account?

Either I'm missing something, or this guy never played Everquest.
Anyway, virtual property law is a fascinating topic and I am seriously considering going into it as a field of law practice. The only problem, as the link points out, is that there is almost no law governing it that I know of.

The only game that could be a refrence is to Ultima Online. only game I know you can own a castle and fill it with loot.
as for the law part, who knows, can fall into realms of property, or copywright, in this case online stuff can be considerd both. Yuor only renting use of said stuff, Items are property of the game, accounts can be like selling timeshares.
