Didnt Salvatore write the episode II novel? The novel was infinitely better then the movie. Maybe I will pick up some of his fantasy stuff.

My internet went out so I picked up Game of Thrones, I read it and Clash of Kings in about 6 days. I am on the 3rd book now.
When does the 4th one come out? It is called Feast of Crows I think.

I am sure I have already posted a litany on why Martin is better than Jordan. Feel free to quote and refute it at your leisure.

Characters whose manhood "dangling, getting hard, or lack there of (even method of removal)" were referred to:
Varys
Jon Snow
Dobber
Ser Dontos
The Unsullied
Vargo Hoat
Every Tyrion chapter

Dave is right in some instances though, such as when "Dobber runs out of the bathhouse naked, his manhood dangling."
Of course it's gonna be dangling, he's naked.
I believe this is the sort of thing Dave is refering to.

But still, he implies that the discussions of cocks is the prime focus of the books when it only incompasses a sentence or two every chapter (except when Tyrion is referred to as Shaes giant of lannister, but even that is a nickname).

All I am saying is that it does not affect the incredibly well weaved plot and storylines in a negative way. There is no arguing against Martins world being more believable and deep then Jordans.

Oh, and back to the original argument, I like both Jordan and Martin. I really like the style in how Martin's chapters are split up. I enjoy good books, and just like WoT, I'm reading these at a pace of 1 per week (except for book 1 - That took 3.5 days since I had no Internet). I am a big fan of Jon Snow. And I totally agree with Phelps about the realism of Martin's characters, but the fact is, we are reading fantasy. Realism isn't a thing that bother's me. If Dany herself turned into a dragon, I wouldn't care as long as the story was good.

I am halfway through the 3rd book (just read the part with Beric Dondarrion fighting Sandor Clegane *splooge*).

If the tiger killer doesn't hurry up and finish some book four, I'm gonna be angry.

I might haveta start the Bifrost Guardian series then.

I counter with Egwene being raised to Amyrillin. All the Aes Sedai bare their breasts while she washes their feet. I would prefer Jordan keep his fetishes to himself.

With Martin, at least they build the character. Tyrion is a horny motherfucker. Hoat is just plain perverted. Varys is a eunuch. These people either think with their dick (making a mistake because of it is the common theme) or are more logical due to the lack of it.

See I wouldn't mind Mat getting a chubby when some barmaid with fat ankles sits on his lap if he didn't RUN THE FUCK AWAY when a queen wants to have sex with him 24/7. Maybe he actually prefers plump-ankled men which is why he hired that fat horse thief for quadruple pay. Whatever, that is fine as long as it makes goddamn sense. Instead, any paragraph envolving intimiate relationships make no sense whatsoever.
