Upheaval.

Post by Jan »

You'll notice the boards have gotten a face lift today, as a result of the change from phpBB2 to phpBB3.

Let's get this out of the way first: No, there is no subBlack yet. No, I won't make one. Wait for the modders out there to pick up 3.0's templating system and make some great new things. For now prosilver is actually pretty darned good once you get used to it.

Now expect a bit of chaos at first while I transition things over, but in the end I feel it'll be a lot easier to manage than the old one.

Haha. You know I was only razzing you about the SubBlack. You put a ton of work in here, the least the rest of us can do is 'suffer' with SubSilver :P Not that it's too much to suffer. Very nice update, thanks :)

Any way to get the old subSilver? I hated subBlack but I also hate change. And sunlight. And puppies.

Current default is subSilver, which I think you have set at the moment. (The avatars should be on the left.) It's fairly similar to the "old" subSilver, but cannot be identical due to the many new features in v3. prosilver, the other template available, is radically different, however.

I think I'm done shuffling the forums around, tell me what you all think. I'm quite behind on my sleeping schedule now so I'll go get some sleep. I'll continue working during my shift, basically when I wake up.

How do I remove/flatten subforums? For instance, I don't want to see a "new post" icon on General Discussion if it is just a new IM Forum post.

Prosilver is what I was using, and we hates it. SubSilver is fine.

I second the flattening of the forums, and if it cant be done by the client then I'd rather break them out as they were.

I just plain don't like black people. Whatever you're using is dandy to me.

can we at least get the IM stuff out of general discussion? nice to know when there actually was a post
