Saw War of the Worlds tonight.
If you don't know the story of the book, I have no idea why you are reading these boards.
If you do, and are still interested in the idea, the movie does a damn good job of it.
Don't let the recent Tom Cruise bruhahaha dissuade you. I stopped noticing it was Cruise in about 2 minutes.
