My fiancee had a good idea for a twist in episode 3. What if an affair between Obi-Wan and Padme is what sparks the duel between Obi-Wan and Anikan. This is during the time that Anikan would be killing all the jedi. During the battle both of them fall into the lava and are given up for dead. Obi-Wan being the good guy was cloned though. Then Obi-Wan emergies from the lava bitter from his complete failure as a master and becomes Darth Vader.

Thus Obi-Wan that Luke meets in episode 4 is a clone and the Darth Vader Obi-Wan is really Luke and Leia's father.

I'd prefer the movie opening with Obi-Wan waking up in bed in a cold sweat, and then realizing that all the bullshit about mitichlorians (or however the hell you spell it) was all a bad dream. Then they can get on with the rest of the plot.

That reminds me, not to derail the thread. The rumor about the end of enterprise is that it will end with Riker and Troy watching all the events of the show as a holodeck simulation. The actors that play Troy and Riker are on the cast list as Riker and Troy in the episode synopsis. Talk about a way for me not to ever want to buy the DVDs.

The Troi-Riker bit of watching a simulation is confirmed but they are only "watching" the final episode.

Everything else in the series is as normal.
