Re: Warhammer

Urinated in them or drank them?

Since you are asking and you were there, I am guessing both.

Re: funny logs

Who knew video games could foster such resentment? Well, just the multiplayer ones I guess. There are no "shitbags" in Civ4.

Except Montezuma. I hate that guy.

Re: funny logs

So its ok to be a dickhole, as long as someone somewhere finds it hilarious. Ill have to write that one down, so I dont forget it. Im really glad you opened my eyes to the light, I could have wasted countless hours trying to be civil to those I game with, when I could be busy building an empire of ...

Re: funny logs

Ok. I was just curious.

It doesn't seem any worse than what Fansy did in EQ, and I thought that was hilarity of they highest order.

Speaking of EQ, what was the etiquette for pickpocketing or master-loot hoarding gems? Those were good times.

Harry Potter: Dumbledore was gay

http://www.cbc.ca/arts/books/story/2007/10/20/dumbledore-gay.html?ref=rss Rowling said she had already revealed Dumbledore's sexuality to David Yates, director of Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, after seeing a scene in the script in which Dumbledore reminisces about an attraction to a young...

Re: A Tale of the Malazan Book of the Fallen

OK so I just started Book 3 (900 pages) of the Malazan series. So far I would place it solidly behind ASOIAF. I like the author's writing style and the plot is a great page-turner. Really the last 300 pages of each of the first two novels (800 pages each) are page after page or action-packed crazine...

Re: WoT ftw!

I hate to break it to you, but Harry Potter deserves that spot, exceeding even LOTR in introducing new readers to the fantasy genre. It may not be my favorite series (neither is LOTR) but I respect it's place at the top of an all-time list. It easily makes my top 10, maybe even top 5.

Re: WoT ftw!

People still use "ftw"?

I am only a quarter of the way into book 2 of the Malazan series and it already surpasses WoT. The jury is out on whether it is better than ASOIAF. If GRRM keeps taking so fucking long to release new books, Malazan may win by default.

Re: A Tale of the Malazan Book of the Fallen

Aww man, you went there . Robert Jordan is a little mundane and repeats himself? Books 9 and 10 were the straw that broke that camels back, when he committed two faux paus. First, he repeats the same event, with different PoV's. Second, he devotes three chapters to Elayne taking a fucking bath. I wo...
